The Inspiron 11 is definitely not a laptop you'll use outdoors. That's close to the marks from the Ideapad 110S (70 percent) and the Chromebook 11 (72 percent). So far I am very happy with my Inspiron 14-3452 it’s a pretty quick little machine.According to our colorimeter, the Inspiron 11 produces only 67 percent of the sRGB spectrum. I hope that MS will work on a better delivery for any future updates like this because the casual user is not going to go through all these steps. Surprisingly, this update seemed to free up an additional 1GB on C. Since I had created a system image just prior to this, I removed the windows.old folder using disk cleaner. When complete, I discovered the process had actually written windows.old to the eMMC leaving me only 1.2GB free. I then opened the Media Creation Tool directly from the USB flash drive and started the process selecting to ‘ Keep personal files and apps’. I noted that this might be an option based upon the numerous failed update messages I had before. To find out what format your USB drive is, insert, right click on its drive letter, look at Properties. In researching this issue, I discovered that using an expansion SDXC/SDHC card might not work, the clean boot files might have to be on a USB drive, and that USB drive might need to be formatted first to NTFS instead of FAT. FYI, it takes a while to download and create that MCT USB boot drive (30min+ for me), and then takes more time (30min+) to do the clean install. You won't need a product key because you should already be running a valid and activated Windows 10 OS.
